After a prototype being shown at the ATEI the response was so great that initial production was sold out after the first day of the show. The initial production was scheduled in February and the first Deluxe pieces have just come off the production line. Police reports are coming in of a convoy of Route 66 travelling down the M4 motorway from the Cardiff based JPM production factory. A second production run has now been planned for April to meet the extraordinary demand.
The King of Route 66 - the long awaited sequel to 18-Wheeler. The game is available in a European bespoke designed Deluxe cabinet and the widely acclaimed Naomi Universal Upright Driving Cabinet.

Dominated by chromed muffler pipes and a huge 720° active motor steering wheel. The cabinet is something of a showpiece and even has themed decal graphics all around the cabinet so that it can stand alone in the middle of an arcade and not have to be positioned up against a wall. It really does look like a truck from all angles. There is space for two on the seat of the cabinet - the passenger even gets his own horn on a chain to pull! The accelerator & brake pedals are mounted so as to feel like truck "stamp-on" pedals. In contrast the Naomi Universal Cabinet allows the game to be used in arcades where space is a premium without loosing the integrity of the game play. The versatility of the Naomi universal cabinet allowed us to achieve this goal without compromising any of the realism, fun and excitement of the deluxe cabinet. It's a big game in a small cabinet which we are sure will bring full cashboxes."
This arcade game allows players to experience an explosive driving battle, across the wide American continent from Chicago Illinois to Santa Monica California along the legendary Route 66.
Drivers carefully and quickly deliver their cargo squeezing through the traffic, Side by side! Feared by falling cargo, emergency braking and obstructing your rival all the way!
Incredible graphics, control sensation and traffic conditions have been accurately recreated to provide the most fun and excitement on the open road.
Features
· There are 5 humungous 18-Wheeler Rigs to choose from each delivering different levels of speed torque and toughness.
· Over 3 areas and 15 stages compete against your rival and deliver your cargo safely to the destination within the time limit. The quicker you get there, the bigger your reward. Each area has 2 or 3 collecting and drop off points for the cargo. The destination is changed by the type of the collecting cargo.
· Multiple direction options give new fun to the players and extended lifespan for the cashbox
· Link two cabinets together for LINK PLAY
· "That's a Ten Four Good Buddy!" Use the unique voice recognition unit with CB radio. Communicate with the other drivers to make a Convoy and drive from state to state across the United States of America
· Nitro Boost !!. Shout "NITRO!" on the CB radio whilst driving to give a rocket boost increase of speed to your Rig
· Make a convoy in combination with another driver to increase your speed and block out the rival trucker.
· Clear each stage to access the bonus stage, where you can test your "Hitching Up" skills and earn bonus points
· Each cargo has a set reward. Deliver your cargo safely to receive the whole amount. Hitting objects and having accidents will damage your cargo, decreasing your reward, from the second stage onwards you can choose your own cargo, with differing weights and rewards. After the player selects the cargo, the player has to connect the Tractor unit (the cabin unit) to the trailer to create the 18 Wheeler Rig. Connect successfully without damaging the cargo and you get an additional "Nitro Boost".
· Deliver the cargo 3 times to the destination to clear the each area.
· Arrive ahead of your rival for extra points.
· Stay in the "Slipstream" of other vehicles to increase your speed.
· Crash through buildings to find shortcuts.
Technical advice
When drivers take control they must consider the road and traffic conditions which require safe overtaking but with CAUTION! The heavier your cargo is the slower your acceleration and braking.
· Clear slow moving traffic by pressing the horn.
· Hit the cars to get a three-second Time Bonus.
· Drive behind other large trucks to enter their Slip Stream, increasing your trucks acceleration and top speed. (Slip-Stream) will be displayed on the screen.
· Experience the raw power and noise of a 14000cc engine.
· The deluxe cabinet offers a huge39" inch monitor to convey all of the in-your-face excitement!
· 2 stage Transmission Change Lever.
· Horn button and horn chain.
