Golden Tee State Championship to be held in Minnesota
Incredible Technologies have announced a live tournament to be Held at the Mall of America in April on Saturday, April 13.
23 operators in the state registered nearly 600 Golden Tee Fore! 2002 games in the online qualifier.
To enter, players simply look for a participating machine with a Golden Tee Minnesota State Championship poster. The 16 players with the lowest average score for their top 5 games on the Pine Meadow course in GTGA League play at the end of March will qualify to play in the live tournament at the Mall of America. They will square off against 16 additional players who qualify at the Mall, April 11-12, via a closest-to-the-pin contest.
These 32 players will then compete head-to-head on the new Golden Tee Fore! 2003 courses for a grand prize of $2,500 from a total purse of over $10,000. Not only will the winner of this tournament walk away with the title of Minnesota State Champion and $2,500, they will have the opportunity to win another $500 by beating the 2002 Golden Tee National Champion, Steve Sobe of Mt. Airy, NC. Sobe won his third straight national title March 3 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
