Banpresto announces Gundam Pilot Academy
Still in it's development phase, Banpresto has joined forces with Mitsubishi in order to create "Gundam Pilot Academy" (tentative title). What has been developed so far was on show at the AOU 2002, and made a big impression.
The cabinet can seat up to 4 players, but what's unusual is that only 2 people the 2 in the front have control over the game, the 2 in the back sit are merely along for the ride. The machine features an 100" viewable screen image powered by a high-speed processor, and has a 24-bit digital sound source for high quality stereo surround sound. Each pilot also feels the action with maximum acceleration of 0.5G, via the 6-axis electric motion base.
