Spike Out

A 3D brawler from Sega. In Spike Out, choose one of four characters to fight in urban scenes covering three massive stages and over 30 different fighting areas.

Players can choose their own route and take short cuts. The game has a third person perspective. It includes a networking system to allow up to four players to cooperate against the enemy. Players can also join a game in progress by selecting "join team play".

The game focuses on team play, with co-operative attacks available such as one player holds an enemy while another player takes him down.

In the US the game was sold as a kit. Sega's Headwave speaker system was also available as an additional extra. The Headwave system features a frame which holds up a gigantic set of speakers next to the players ear and a seat which also houses a sub-woofer.
