Barber Cut R is a two player prize machine where players control a scissor mechanism and must cut hanging strings to win the attached prizes. It is an updated version of the original Barber Cut prize machine, and features some slight modifications to the original.
The position of the scissor unit has been reversed, with the scissors now cutting from behind the string which gives players a better view of the action. Each hanging string also slots into a thin pipe across the playfield which serves to stabilise the string, limiting its movement during play. Barber Cut R can house merchandise across three different prize levels to accommodate players of all skill levels.
