Drum Mania V features more than 270 songs, including 50 brand new songs. Players have the option of linking together with Guitar Freaks V for a mega jam session. It is the first game in the series to do away with the usual numbering convention, replacing what would have been Drum Mania 11th Mix.
Gameplay remains the same from previous titles, with players using a simulated drum controller to play the notes of a chosen songs drum part as they are displayed on the screen.
