House of the Dead 4 is set three years after the horrific events that transpired during House of the Dead 2.
It features one of the heroes from the second game, James Taylor, who this time is teamed with Kate Green. Together they must survive the horror that will unfold.
The characters are literally fighting for their lives as zombies can now grab them, and the characters must shake the zombies loose before they can attack again.
House of the Dead 4 continues with the tradition of the House of the Dead legacy. Players navigate through 6 stages of player-selected routes, shoot a sensor capable machine gun with a new reload technique, throw hand grenades by pressing a button on the gun, or fight with hand-to-hand combat.
This version creates a more realistic environment by using more intense graphics thanks to the Lindbergh hardware system. Also the amount of zombies attacking the player at any one time has increased.
The sub-machine gun in House of the Dead 4 has a sensor that determines when the gun is being shaken, and players must shake the gun in order to escape enemies or situations. The gun can also be reloaded when shaken, with heaps of ammo to keep shooting.
Other versions of House of the Dead 4 available include the 62 inch Super Deluxe, the 52 inch Deluxe, and House of the Dead 4 Special.
