Ocean King 2: Golden Legend Arcade Machine is a dedicated 6 player video redemption game which features the iconic oceanic theme that has become synonymous with the English version Ocean King series.
The cabinet features vibrant LED lighting, a large LCD screen with High Definition 3D rendered graphics that brings each ocean themed stage vibrantly to life, and the cabinet itself has been redesigned for a more modern streamlined style.
The aim of the game, as always, is for the player to catch as many fish as possible in the allotted time. Each player has a weapon with three power levels to help them catch all kinds of fish. These levels range from Normal Speed, Accelerated Speed, to Aim for the Target.
The game play mechanics are as simple and straightforward as ever, making the game accessible for players of all skill levels. Players simply use the joystick to aim their gun tube at the fishy characters, then hit the SHOOT button to try and catch them. Players receive points for every fish they catch and when they have finished the stage, players simply press and hold the Payout button for 3 seconds.
Ocean King 2: Golden Legend includes 17 different species of fish, plus 3 different kinds of crabs, three Jumbo Fish, and four BOSS characters. The fish characters have different values and these values are operator adjustable: values can be set onto either a low Odds Level or a high Odds Level.

The Jumbo Fish are 3 normal fish characters that have been supersized and include: Clown Fish, Fugu, and Butterfly Fish. The three types of crab characters also double as mini-game features that appear at random during the game! The characters include Super Bomb Crab, Laser Crab, and Drill Crab. The Boss characters are super tough and are known as the Almighty Octopus, Emperor Crab, Darkness Monster, and Ancient Crocodile.
Ocean King 2 Golden Legend also features several fun and exciting mini-games which appear at random throughout the game and include both multiplayer and single player games. Mini-games include:
-Super Bomb Crab – catching a Super Bomb Crab will trigger the chained bomb attack in a wide explosion, affecting and/or catching many of the fish on the playfield at the time.
-Laser Crab – players who catch the Laser Crab will be rewarded with a special Laser Beam weapon for a limited time only – it’s a one shot weapon though, so use it wisely!
-Drill Crab – the Drill Crab gives the player a special ‘Breaking Drill weapon that fires penetrating drills around the playfield, giving players more chances to catch fish. After a while the drill explodes affecting and/or catching even more fish within range.
-Lightning Chain – catching a fish with the lightning chain effect will start catching other fish automatically until it runs out and players receive the value of all fish caught. The species that can appear with the Lightning Chain effect include Flying Fish, Clown Fish, Butterfly Fish, Fugu, Lionfish, Flatfish, Lobster, Spearfish, and Octopus.
-Vortex Fish – catching a fish with the Vortex effect will suck all the other fish of it's kind on the playfield into a whirl pool. Species who can appear with the Vortex effect include Flying Fish, Clown Fish, Butterfly Fish, Fugu, Lionfish, Flatfish, Lobster, Spearfish, Octopus, Lantern Fish, Sea Turtle, and Saw Shark.
-Fire Storm – is a random time limited game and is desgined for one player at a time. The player who is awarded the mini-game will receive a flamethrower, which causes extreme damage to fish and multiplies their values. Players can also obtain additional time and multiply their score during the game.
-Golden Treasures – a time limited game with a mulitplayer function. Players use a special searchlight to look for the Imperial Whale and the Golden Fish to try and catch them and get high scores. Players may also get a roulette treasure box that adds in or multiplies the total scores.
