Out Run 2 Special Tours (SP) is featured in a deluxe 50 inch cabinet, with its 'rear end' modeled on a yellow Ferrari 360.
The new software for this updated version of the Out Run driving game features 15 new courses, all based in the USA with familiar landmarks, and two new cars - the Ferrari 512BB and the 250GTO. Out Run 2 SP allows players the option to select normal or tuned handling, to suit their playing abilities.
The normal option offers flexible and light handling for the casual user, and the more advanced player can opt for the tuned option for extra speed. The original 1986 soundtrack for Out Run has been reintroduced and the three modes - Out Run mode, Heart Attack mode and Time Attack Mode, found in Out Run 2 have been maintained and enhanced. The game also has its own dedicated Internet ranking web site allowing players to enter their result for any of the modes, handling options and transmission types.
