Strikers 1945 is a vertical scrolling jet fighter game. It is the first game in Psikyo's popular "Strikers" series which includes Strikers 1945, Strikers 1945 II, Strikers 1945 Plus, and Strikers 1999.
Strikers 1945 is similar in game play to Raiden, but features much more powerful video hardware. Players can chose six different fighter planes and bosses to battle. Planes include: P-38 Lightning, P-51 Mustang, Spitfire, Zero Fighter, Messer BF 109 and Shinden J7.
The game is controlled by a joystick and two buttons (one for shooting and one for bombing). Strikers 1945 can be played with one or two players.
