Taiko no Tatsujin 6 arcade machine is the sixth version in this series of drum music games for the arcade, which requires players to play the drums with rhythm - when symbols appear on the screen. The game pits two teams against one another and a maximum of four people can play on each team.
Each player selects a character to represent them, and one player from each team then takes their position at the drum kit ready to battle.
The game randomly selects a song, and the players must then accompany the song with their drum beat. The machine then marks the players on their performance.
Another function available in this version of the game is the medley, which is like a drum playing relay. During one tune, players on the same team swap positions when their character appears or leaves the screen.
