The 2nd installment of this 3D fighting series, containing 2 new characters, updated graphics and new moves. The players controls still consist of the joystick and 3 buttons (punch, kick & block), but the game contains a great deal of new moves for each character.
Returning characters are Akira Yuki, Jacky Bryant, Jeffry McWild, Kage-Maru, Lau Chan, Pai Chan, Sarah Bryant, Wolf Hawkfield and Dural. The new Characters are Lion Rafale and Shun Di. Shun Di uses a style of drunken kung-fu known as Suiken, whilst Lion Rafales fighting style is Tourou-Ken.
Virtua Fighter 2 runs at 60 FPS - an impressive graphical feat for its time - vastly improving upon its predecessor which ran at only 30 FPS.
