Bandai Namco Games is making a release for Time Crisis 5 arcade machine in March, 2015.
The company announced revealed they would be making the game late last year, and also announced that it would be making it's debut appearance at this years EAG International
amusement expo in London.
The game did indeed make an appearance and was one of the most popular games on the expo floor, which is saying a lot considering the calibre of games that released at the end of last year and there were on show in anticipation of their release this year.
The Time Crisis series began in 1996 with the original arcade game, while the last title, Time Crisis 4, was released in 2006.
“We have many customers who are still running Time Crisis games in their arcades [that] can be up to 10 years old – the players love them that much,” said John Brennan, commercial director at Bandai Namco Amusements Europe.
The gamer uses the famous pedal function and the cabinet also features two 55inch monitors, a newly designed handgun and recoil mechanism.
There are a total of three stages for players to enjoy – Rampage in the Resort, Assault Helicopter and a high-speed battle on motorcycles. The arcade game also supports Bandai Namco’s BANAPassport system.
With the release ever so close, and it having been so long between games, the Time Crisis 5 is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year. However, March is also the official release month for the Star Wars Battle Pod arcade machine
, so it will definitely have some sales competition in that regard, particularly among smaller, more independent operators.
