DNA Association to Launch New Book on Digital Out-of-Home Entertainment
The DNA Association is working on a 'far-reaching' publication on the Digital Out-of-Home Entertainment (DOE) sector, written by co-authors Kevin Williams, founder of the DNA Association, and Michael Mascioni.

The DNA Association is a young, but rapidly-growing association of individuals and companies developing social and networked out-of-home entertainment applications found in amusement and theme parks, retail centers, educational institutions, and sports, fitness and leisure facilities.

Since social gaming first exploded into the market in the 1970s video amusement has defined the fundamentals of the social gaming experience. However, the industry has changed so drastically in such a small amount of time that these fundamentals have changed as well with the original market struggling to keep up with the evolution of computer technology and home consoles.

In light of this, the DNA Association strives to redefine these fundamentals through the development and promotion of digital technology that is changing the face of social gaming as it is known, i.e. the classic arcade.

While this is still relevant and there is still a market for it, there is a demand for more interactive social gaming which has become the focus the the DNA: digital musement and Pay-to-Play games; digital interactive attractions; "Retail-tainment" and Hospitality as untapped resources for reaching consumers; "edutainment"; "exergaming"; interactive gaming content development; and operating digital out-of-home entertainment.

The DNA Association's publication will focus on core aspects of the digital out-of-home industry, such as the current and possible future trends of the industry, technology and business opportunities that marks the digital out-of-home entertainment industry as unique, and why it demands special attention when looking to the future of out-of-home entertainment.

The book is co-authored by Kevin Williams, the founder of the DNA Association, and Michael Mascioni, a writer and market research consultant specializing in digital media.

It's reported a number of high profile executives from prominent corporations in the sector have been interviewed to offer their valuable observations to the co-authors’, although none have been named as of yet.

Mr Wiliams and Mr Mascioni are still taking submissions of opinion from DOE industry professionals who have something to offer. If you would like to be added to the list of professionals offering their opinions for the book, email the DNA Association directly.
