New Details On Rampage Movie Starring Dwayne Johnson
New details have been unveiled concerning the Rampage movie, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, which is based on the Bally Midway classic arcade game.

According to reports, the big screen adaptation of the giant-monster-city-smashing arcade game has a pair of new writers: Colony co-creators Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal.

Cuse and Condal will be taking over from Ryan Engle and rewriting the film. Engle wrote an earlier draft for Rampage and is best known for his work on the feature film, Non-Stop.

This is not the first time Cuse and Condal will have worked with Johnson. Cuse wrote the screenplay for San Andreas, which starred Dwayne Johnson, while Cuse's Colony co-creator, Condal, wrote the Johnson-led action movie, Hercules (2014). Not to mention, Brad Peyton is set to direct the Rampage film, who also directed Johnson in San Andreas and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

Rampage is being developed for New Line and has been in the works since 2011. Midway published the original Rampage in 1986, but the company went bankrupt in 2009, and Warner Bros. (which also owns New Line) acquired most of its assets.

More details to come as they become available.
