SEGA Loss Biggest in Japan
In a dismal trading year, SEGA have announced a 28.2 billion yen loss (approximately US$254 million) in the last financial year.

As recently reported by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun , this huge loss has given SEGA the dubious honour of being the worst performing large company in Japan for the 2000 financial year, largely due to the poor sales performance of their Dreamcast system.

In attempts to revive its flagging market share, SEGA is concentrating its endeavours on developing its celluar phone technologies and several other networking developments, including banking via the Dreamcast unit and Dreamyeye video technology.
