Sega Promoting New Products On Show At EAG International 2016
The EAG International 2016 trade show officially opened its doors today and more exhibitors are promoting the new products set to be on show in London this month, including Sega!
2016 will be the 25th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, so there will be a lot of Sonic related games on show. The most talked about product that will appear at the Sega booth next week is undoubtedly Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Arcade Edition, which was first seen at a location test in Tokyo last July.
This latest redemption game features popular Nintendo and Sega characters, including Sonic, Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, Tails and Knuckles, and allows players to participate in nine different sport events. The cabinet is equipped with a 55" HD screen and will be released in February.
Sonic Dash Extreme is another video redemption game where Sonic must catch rings and will be on show alongside Sonic Blast Ball, an improved lucky hit game; as well as the Sonic Sports series air hockey and basketball machines, which have been rebranded with new visual and new Sonic themed sound.
Sega Amusements will also be distributing ticket redemption machines by ICE in Europe and ICE’s latest games, such as Angry Bird Arcade and Pink Panther Jewel Heist, will also be on show next week at the Sega booth.
Another highly anticipated game that will be at the Sega booth is the Ghostbusters electromechanical video game for 2 players, where you have to catch ghosts to win tickets. The game features 8 clips from the popular original movie. The motion version of Wahlap's Storm Racer G will also be showcased.
The enormous Sega booth (Stand 550) will of course host the Sega Total Solutions division which offers spare parts and tickets and Sega Prize Europe with new plush toys and new prizes for cranes.
EAG International 2016 will be held at ExCeL London on January 12th, 13th and 14th.
