Sega recently held Sonic Central for June 2022 with new updates about the future of Sonic the Hedgehog. The video presentation begun with a gameplay features video for Sonic Origins, a remaster of four original sonic titles: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD. The collection will feature the definitive editions of each title along with new modes such as Boss Rush, Mirror Mode, Mission Mode, Anniversary Mode and Classic Mode. The collection will also feature bonus music, character animations, backgrounds and an island camera. The title will be available June 23.
The Sonic Central also touched on Sonic Speed Simulator for Roblox. Players using the special code [SONIC CENTRAL] will unlock the special gift: Amy Chao. This collaboration will be playable from June 11.
Special characters will become available in Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces this holiday season. Additionally, a sneak peak of the upcoming Netflix series 'Sonic Prime' was shown. Details of the home entertainment release of the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 movie were revealed, as well as upcoming collaborative merchandise, such as Knuckles G-Fuel and a Sonic themed Razer Xbox controller.
