New Tekken 7 Character Reveal at Evo 2016 - Nina Williams in Fated Retribution
During the Evo 2016 reveal livestream, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced a new character coming back to Tekken 7 with the Fated Retribution expansion - Nina Williams!

Nina Williams has quite a dedicated following within the Tekken series and her story-arch, but whether or not this continues on in the latest update is yet to be seen. She is a cold-blooded, professional assassin of Irish descent, who made her first appearance in Tekken, the original game in the series. She is one of eight playable characters in the original game (the others being Yoshimitsu, Paul Phoenix, Jack, Kazuya Mishima, King, Marshall Law, and Michelle Chang), and the only female character to appear in all main installments in the series; she also starred in her own spin-off game, Death by Degrees.

Nina's story within the Tekken series largely revolves around her unstable and often violent relationship with her younger sister, Anna Williams, who has developed as Nina's arch-rival throughout the series. She is known for her fast and lethal fighting style, based loosely on the fighting arts hapkido and koppojutsu, among others.

The blonde, gun-toting bombshell is usually recognised by her purple PVC and military gear, however she is outfitted in a tattered wedding dress for her entry in Fated Retribution, which is a curious decision on Namco's part and one which fans would love an explanation for.

Incidentally, during the livestream it was mentioned that western gamers will probably be able to try out Fated Retribution for the first time this year at Final Round. The trailer shown at Evo 2016 also showcased many of NIna's butt-kicking moves, which include a number of kick and rolling-punch combos, plus some very cool grapples!
