Thieves Target Soda Machines with Earnhardt's Picture
With the recent death of nascar driver Dale Earnhardt, some fans have been stealing full Soda machines which bear his life-size likeness.
Reports are coming through in the USA that Coca-Cola vending machines are being stolen which show Earnhardt's image. Much more damage however is occurring with people trying to break off the machine's front plastic shield that contains Dale Earnhardt's picture.
Dale Earnardt was killed last month when he crashed into a concrete wall on the final turn of the Daytona 500. To some fans, he was a "hero" and items bearing his name or image have instantly become collectors items.
