Twin Galaxies has announced the release of the 2nd edition of "Twin Galaxies' Official Video Game & Pinball Book of World Records"; a 758-page book containing arcade world records from players in over 50 different countries collected over the last 30 years.

Besides being the definitive collection of arcade world records, the book aims to re-enliven public interest in high scores and competitive game play. Twin Galaxies' Official Video Game & Pinball Book of World Records does this by organising video game and pinball playing as an international sport with a tradition of contests, statistics, world records, and star players.

The arcade volume does not include any home console and PC game world records, and instead honors the champions on the most popular arcade video, pinball and arcade emulation games. The book explains the individual rules for playing hundreds of arcade and pinball games, the submission and verification process used by Twin Galaxies, and the highest scores on thousands of different arcade games. The book also features biographies and information on 265 of the top arcade gamers in the world, and a series of historical features.
