Sega Rally is one of the world's most popular racing car games, with a major draw being its real life racing rules. The player selects a car and transmission and races through dirt, hill sides and much more in an attempt to be No.1.
There are 3 courses, and in the Championship mode racing is done in stages. The player must complete each stage in order and under time limit to advance to the next stage. The stages are Desert (Easy), Forest (Medium) and Mountain (Expert). There are also different modes to select. In Practice mode, you must complete a specified number of laps within the time limit. In Championship mode, the player must clear each stage and beat the rival cars.
The machine is linkable, with up to two twin machines able to be linked together for so up to 4 players can race against one-another.
