Beachhead 2000 Exceeds Expectations
Tsunami Visual Technologies, Inc. announced today that earnings for the first software title available on their TsuMo (Tsunami Motion) system has well overshot expectations. Weekly revenues from Beach Head 2000 have been tracked in a variety of locations, from large FEC's to smaller neighborhood arcades, since the middle of December. Broadway City Arcade in downtown New York City is just one such location.

Dick Simon, owner of Broadway City gave his view on the TsuMo unit that he currently is operating. Simon said, "We were searching for an attraction piece that would give players a fun experience that couldn't be duplicated at the home level. We chose the TsuMo, even though it was higher priced than some of the other deluxe videos we could have purchased. I'm happy to say that TsuMo, with Beach Head 2000, has been everything we hoped for and then some! It ranks as our top game almost every week and shows no sign of slowing down. It's been a consistently strong earner, averaging almost $2200 per week and producing a full ROI in less than 12 weeks. It's especially impressive since this is normally our slower time of year, so you can imagine the numbers it should book during the summer. Now we're planning to purchase a second unit and are looking forward to future software titles for TsuMo!"

Most recently, Beach Head 2000 was again the top earning video game at Broadway City, as well as the other spots. The unit has been in this location now for over 13 weeks with earnings as high as $2385 for a single week. In all locations being tracked, there has been a consistent trend of repeat play. The TsuMo system allows a full 6-degree of freedom motion which can accurately simulate the movement required in any game. TsuMo allows the player of Beach Head 2000 to actually feel the action and enhances the experience of the game by fully immersing players into the action, which keeps them coming back for more.

Tsunami Visual Technologies have also announced the release of their TsuMo Junior unit. The TsuMo System, short for Tsunami Motion, is now available in both the Deluxe and Junior models.

Initially known as BumperBall, the TsuMo System is a fully interactive coin-operated motion simulator. Capable of full six degrees of freedom movement, the system enables real life simulation of any motion needed by any software program. TsuMo is powered by electric motors, rather than higher maintenance pneumatic or hydraulic motors that have typically been used to power motion simulators in the past. The footprint of both units is relatively small, making the TsuMo an easy addition to any arcade or family entertainment center.

One of the unique features of the TsuMo unit is the ability to run multiple games or motion rides on the same unit. Operators have the choice to show an on-screen menu of all games and rides that the player can choose from. New titles can be added at any time, thus maximizing the life cycle of the unit and promoting a quick return on the investment. Manufacturer suggested retail pricing for the TsuMo models are as follow:

TsuMo Deluxe with 50" Monitor - $24,950 Sugg. Retail

TsuMo Deluxe with 39" Monitor - $23,950 Sugg. Retail

TsuMo Junior with 50" Monitor - $22,500 Sugg. Retail

TsuMo Junior with 39" Monitor - $21,500 Sugg. Retail

Authorized distributors include Betson Enterprises, Brady Distributing, C.A. Robinson & Co., Cleveland Coin Machine Exchange, Mountain Coin Machine Distributors, State Sales & Service and New Way Sales in Canada. Tsunami's first interactive game title, Beach Head 2000, is currently included with the purchase of any TsuMo. Testing of the unit with this particular game proved the system to be a leading attraction in all locations. The next software title is scheduled for release later this year. Additional software titles are developed in-house as well as licensing agreements with well-known home software makers.
