uWink Introduces its Sports Club Network
uWink, Inc. today announced the May 1st launch of its Sports Channel, allowing, for the first time ever, patrons of bars and restaurants to participate in fantasy leagues, track and rank their favorite teams and play numerous games using their team knowledge and score predictions of upcoming games.
Sports enthusiasts as well as game players will be able to participate on the level of their choice in the games and leagues focusing on professional and collegiate athletics.
The user-friendly interface will permit everyone to compete in the Sports Channel offerings, which will target golf, baseball, football, basketball, hockey and auto racing. Just as there is no learning curve necessary to play uWink's popular games, so it is with the company's fantasy league play. The multiple versions will allow novices and pros alike to participate.
"The power of the network has enabled us to create an entirely new source of income," stated Todd Cravens, uWink's Executive VP of Operations. "Not only is this 100% new money, it attracts game players and non-game players alike. What better place is there to have fantasy leagues available than in the sports bars where the fans hang out?"
In addition to competing in fantasy leagues, ranking their teams and playing games, sports fans will be able to check their favorite teams' stats, rankings and game scores. Eventually this information will be personalized to permit Club Wink members to swipe their membership cards and immediately access their favorite stats.
