Irish Show 2001

Irish Show 2001
Irish Show 2001
The Irish show has just ended in Dublin, and once again the show was very well run with a good turnout and plenty of orders written and Guiness drunk.

The industry here has really focused on the Gaming side with Rebuilds by Barcrest being very popular and the new Who Want to be a Millionaire 2 being shown on both the Deith and Crown stands. The new gaming machines from Franco of Spain are also proving to be very good money takers.

On the video side the ones that still attracted the most attention were Konami's 24/7 ( Police 911) and Sega's Confidential Mission, with everyone wanting to know when Virtua Striker 3 will be released.

The most interesting machine at the show was a touchscreen by Amusys of Austria, what made this one stand out was that it also had the facility to send text messages to mobile phones, at last, a link between Mobile phones and arcades, the first one on test in Ireland is enjoying great results.

On the seminar side Bob Fay was over from Incredible Technologies to share the benefits of Tournament on the IT system
