Merit games seized in Malaysia
Forty-five complete copies of Merit Entertainment games were recently seized as part of raids on amusement centres in Panang, Malaysia. The Penang Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs raided three amusement centres in September, seizing games which were allegedly being operated illegally by CYC Mega Leisure Company of Penang.
"This is our largest raid action to date and confirms Merit's commitment to protecting its intellectual property rights," stated Fay. "We appreciate the cooperation of the Malaysian government in assisting us. This is the fourth raid in Malaysia this year involving Merit copies."
